I offer personalized and evidence-based support, drawing from various skills and tools to help you achieve your identified goals. My main approach is Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, addressing concerns and devising solutions. In Grief/Loss and Bereavement, I apply current grief theories tailored to individual clients' unique experiences and desired outcomes. I consider holistic well-being, encompassing aspects like sleep and nutrition. With a Christian worldview, I integrate my values into practice and offer faith-based therapy upon request. Therapy should fit YOUR goals and YOUR needs as a client.

Grief is typically defined as a response to loss, while bereavement specifically refers to the experience following the death of a loved one. It's important to recognize that grief extends beyond death and encompasses various losses such as job, relationship, abilities, or shattered dreams. Leveraging my experience in hospice, I guide individuals through the emotions tied to loss and bereavement, facilitating practical steps for adjustment and growth. Having supported many through grieving processes, I consider it a privilege to create a space for individuals to express their complex feelings with respect and dignity, recognizing the multifaceted nature of grief beyond death.

Life is filled with both anticipated and unexpected events that can impact our well-being. Sometimes, simply processing the emotions tied to life changes can be beneficial in acknowledging disruptions and navigating the ensuing adjustments. My goal is to assist you in identifying challenges, recognizing that you are the expert in your own experience, and providing support in practical ways. Frequently, a fresh perspective or thought-provoking question can bring about a newfound understanding in areas where clarity may have been lacking.

My approach is straight forward and my goal is to partner with you to discover the skills and abilities you already have to support the well-being you desire.

Open discussions about death and end-of-life are often avoided, yet addressing these topics beforehand can empower individuals and their loved ones and foster peace during such times. I employ education and compassion to facilitate conversations about end-of-life aspects, exploring values, beliefs, and desires. While not providing legal or medical advice, I work collaboratively to help you plan for yourself or engage in conversations with your loved ones, allowing you to shape your legacy based on what's important to you.
